# Chiselbase > Chiselbase is a desktop Firebase GUI and Firestore editor for Windows, macOS and Linux. Keep data, users and Cloud Functions logs open in tabs, reuse queries, move data between projects and give AI agents controlled Firebase access. Built for developers who spend time on recurring Firebase data work: find and fix a document, investigate a failed request across users and logs, rerun a saved query, export readable files or prepare staging data. Loaded tabs keep the related work in place; production controls help check the target before changing it. - Workspace: loaded views in multiple tabs, direct collection and document paths, a command palette, saved queries and parameterized boards. Free includes 1 board per project. - Boards: reusable Firebase dashboards with metrics, charts, query tables and Markdown notes. Combine order totals, status breakdowns and recent records, or use parameters to repeat a check for a different customer, status or date. Refresh cards on demand. Board cards only read data; clicking a table row opens the underlying document. - Firestore: browse virtualized tables, edit typed fields and nested data, build visual queries, inspect schemas, manage indexes and configure backups. Live sync follows changes in the visible collection. - Cloud Functions: filter logs by function, severity, text and time; inspect structured payloads; hide request and system entries; follow one invocation when an execution ID is available. Free shows log windows of up to 24 hours, also for older periods; Pro adds longer windows, selected-entry JSON copy and runtime environment tools. - Free: 1 cloud project with multiple connections to it; emulator connections do not count. No account and no expiry date. Includes production write protection, environment labels, confirmations, audit log and supported undo. - Pro: more cloud projects and boards, imports and exports, cross-project copies, bulk changes, backup restore and clone, time travel reads, built-in AI chat and 82 MCP tools. Firestore exports: FS-JSON, JSON, JSONL, CSV; imports: FS-JSON, JSONL, CSV. - Pricing: EUR 124.80 per year (equivalent to EUR 10.40 per month), or EUR 13.00 billed monthly. One Pro license per person. A 14-day Pro trial starts inside the app with an email code, once per email address, with no credit card required. - AI access: separate Read and Write grants per MCP client and connection; new clients have no project access until granted. Writes outside Development require human approval. Google credentials stay in the Rust core and are not handed to the agent. Client presets include Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and Codex. Chiselbase works alongside the Firebase Console and existing deployment tools. Billing, project creation, Hosting, Analytics and Extensions remain in Google's tools. Firebase IAM, service charges and log retention still apply. Chiselbase is an independent product and is not affiliated with Google or Firebase.
